Anyone Hunt in the St. Lucas Area?

I'm from Minnesota and hunt the first shotgun season in Iowa and love it cause there are so many more deer and most of all bigger bucks. I was just wondering if anyone has seen some deer activity in this area. Thanks.

The activity has slowed alot in the last couple weeks. I hunt a couple of woods near St. Lucas and as always there are good numbers around. If you've hunted here before you know there are several areas that get hunted hard and often by the shotgunners and I'm sure it won't be any different this year. Stay close to the Turkey River and you'll do fine.

thanks for the info. i shotgun hunt this season but i'm looking to getting into some bowhunting in Iowa next year. I think i hunt right off of the turkey river. thanks again.
