I heard about this on the news also. My prayers go out.
One has to respect the peace officer that isdoing his job. Even though we all have cussed them at one time or another, they do have risks.
My wife is a dispatcher and has been so for about 10 years, so I get to hear first hand about plenty of dirtbags and the extremely insane, stoopid things they do. It is nearly disgusting at times.
Hope he recovers fully!!
