How does that work out for you? Does the corn get a decent ear on it? Just wondering, thought about trying it, but it the corn is all stalk, I wouldn't like that.

It works really well - have been doing it about 5-6 years. The first year I seeded the corn too heavy and it did hurt the yield but now that I have it figured out it produces good corn. Last year a "real" farmer friend of mine estimated my plot would go about 125 - 150 bushel/acre - the corn lasted until early March. Beans have never been a problem with seeding this way - I think they are more forgiving though!

Thanks for the info, we have been broadcasting beans for quite a few years now, and thought we would try some corn. Sounds like you are getting a good ear on the corn.
