Bachelor Party

Adventure

Member
My brother, who is an avid hunter, is getting married in July and I am in charge of planning the bachelor party for a few guys (all of which love to hunt). Over the past year we have grown very close by spending countless hours in the woods and I feel this would only be fitting for him.

I would like to throw him a bachelor party that involves hunting, the outdoors, etc. I am sure he would love to hit the bars (he is only 22) but I think his college buddies will take care of that. Does any one have any ideas? I would like it to be memorable (in a very manly way). Any one know of any unique hunting ranches in the area or have any other great ideas?

Let me add that I am working on a limited budget.

The summer is pretty tough, but if you didn't mind celebrating it early I'd say a pig hunt in February or March miight be a thought. You wouldn't have to break the bank to do it and I guarantee you'd have a good time. :way:

Can u clarify what u mean in a manly way?? Ur making me uncomfortable......

On a side note some pheasant preserves have lodging. Afternoon of birds followed by an evening of "manly" entertainment

Critter- We will be doing our first filmed pig hunt in 2 weeks...should be epic.

gundog-you may be taking the word "manly" out of context. I do like the pheasant idea though.

Keep the good ideas coming...

rent 14 strippers for a whole day(spendy) and let them loose in the woods. Give your buddy a paint ball gun and have him hunt them down. For every one he gets there will be a reward (your discretion). Once he finds and harvests all of them you can rendevous back at the lodge of your choice and have some "manly" fun. Just an idea, you can ad lib as you see necessary.

Overlooked the july part.. I would go bowfishing with a buncha bowfishing babes.
I was just harrasing u about the manly fun. Shoulda added a smiley dude

Get one of the strippers to come out dressed in camo/deer costume

1.No baiting them or taking pictures though.
2.Do not give them lollipops or popsickles as strippers are known to carry communicable diseases and this could be a mode of transmission

Haha sorry, couldn't resist! Didn't mean to HiJack your party thread.:D

Just went on a cool Bachelor party late last summer. We ended up having about 15 hunters in the group, rented out a paintball range for the day, it was a freakin blast. They let us do just about whatever we wanted since we were pumpin the money in. Later that night we grilled, drank, and headed to some fine establishments.

I would say a night of heavy drinking and arrowing fish, the 2 go hand in hand! How many guys will be there? You can charter a couple bowfishing boats and have a blast.

For my bachelor party all my buddies got together at my Dad's farm and we drank beer and shot trap all day long. Must of went through a couple thousand rounds of shells. It was a blast. We had some long range shooting with the rifles. We put a hoola hoop out there about 100 yards and seen if anyone could put a golf ball in it. We grilled out, had a huge bonfire and drank beer until we all passed out.

Kind of redneckish but much funner than getting beat up by a stripper. We did that on all my other buddies bachelor parties.

I've thrown two bachelor parties... first one, we started the day bright and early over in port byron illinois and rented a few hours of a paintball course and their equipment, then we went back to my friends place, grilled out, drank beer, shot clay pigeons (annie oakley style),drank beer, had a bags tourney, drank beer, ate left overs from earlier and....more beer... The second one I threw, we started out bright and early at some public ground with a morel mushroom hunting contest and back packed beer along ( not sure if that was legal or not but we put the empties in the backback and took home), then we grilled out, drank beer, shot clay pigeons again, drank beer, ate more food, drank beer, and then ended with a beer pong competition... in both cases, we kept scores of everything with two man teams and everyone paid like 10 bucks to buy in.. winners at the end kept half and I kept other half to put toward festivity expenses

We went up to NE iowa and went trout fishing for the weekend, for my bachelor party. We ended up taking over a whole campground, and having a BLAST. Drank beer, ate fish, played washers, frisbee, football, bags, fished, and drank some more. :way:

My friends Bachelor party last summer was a blast started the morning out with trap shootin. In the afternoon/evening we brough out the rifles and did a ton of drinkin grilling and in the barn we flung arrows, I didnt talk to one person that was not having a blask and all it cost was shells, beer and food pretty cheap.

In the last 4 years I've been in on 6-9 bachlor partys. All of them ended up with hitting some bars in the evening (some via partys bus, some via minivans/suburbans)

We did a 8mile thru the woods ATV ride to a bar for lunch and back. (Had 25 wheelers)

Paintball (found a place that rented everything out)
(3)Pheasant hunts at a game farm.
Boating Trip (rented a pontoon and cruised a chain of lakes on a hot afternoon boozing/swimming/lounging)
Round of sporting clays and a round of trap.
Got a keg and went out to a buddy's cattle pasture and just shot hand thrown clays and shot rifles at a case of tannerite. GOOD FUN.

One was a rain out, orginal plan was going fishing on a local lake, ended up sitting in a garage playing cards and drinking and then loading into a camper and going on a 2hour ride to a strip club.

not sure if it will fit the "limited" budget, but a salmon charter on lake michigan is worth a look...can score them for roughly $225/person all inclusive except beer and food.

Paintball is always a good time...until you get hit in an uncovered area or at extremely close range.
