was looking at gettin a new pack this year and was wonderin what everybody likes. the most i will walk is 500 yards to my stand and i dont carry tons of things. would a pack from wally word do or should i spend some money? i was looking at the cabelas scout packs and they look pretty good and not that expensive at $80. so just wonderin what you guys do. thanks.

I bought 2 scouts . Actually a little small. They need to be longer.Nanny has one that isnt bad, not sure of the brand or model. I think its from bass pro. Nice size and holds just enough . The sides will expand if you let out the side straps. Shoot him a pm.

Take a look at the Badlands line of packs. I think for your short trips a Monster fanny pack may fit the bill. Shop around the price varies drastically on the net. Buck Hollow stocks them also!

i have a a 8 pocket fanny pack from cabelas and i cant stand it. fanny packs drive me crazy, i put it over my shoulder and i still dont like the way it feels and how it is hard to get stuff out when i have it hanging in the tree, i think that a pack would be better for me. also i didnt look into how much that monster fanny pack is but i think the badland packs are out of my price range for now. do any of you have a pack that is made to carry the bow? does that really matter? thanks.

I use a Primos Bow Sling. It serves its purpose, I think that there might be a better setup out there, but haven't found it myself.

Alright. So I have a simialer question for you SINGLE hunters. This does not refer to you that film someone or film yourself.

What do you carry with you for a hunt assuming its not all day? I just have never been able to justify a backpack when everything I take can fit in my pockets.

I wear my old BDU's so they have HUGE pockets, other then that I hate to admit it but I wear a butt pack. It works well for me /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/blush.gif

Those new Snow Packs from badlands look pretty sweet! The Monster Snow would be great for spot 'n stalk during late season muzzleloader /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cool.gif
