Backpack recommendations

I've had the same Rocky backpack for the last 25 years, but its about ready for the garbage can. I've been looking for a replacement, but the main problem I am having is finding one that has straps on the outside for packing in clothes....since I got most of my clothing on at the base of my tree. What is everyone using for packing in to the stand?

I too had a backpack that I had been using for YEARS and about 2 years ago I got a new one. I went with an Asio brand product and have been very happy with it. (I don't recall a model name/number, but I am sure you can find one to suit you on their website.)

Very well made, plenty of pockets, etc, and straps.

I have two cheap ones from Walmart that are different sizes. I can use either and use a bungee cord to attach a small zip up bag, sack, etc to carry in clothes, boots, etc. It ain’t real fancy but takes care of my needs.

Badlands has a new line of backpacks available. The Rise Pro line designed for the tree stand bowhunter.

A bit on the pricier side compared to some, but I have a couple stone glacier packs and love them! It seems like I use to have a zipper or something break every year on my cheaper packs and just got sick of it so dropped the money on the stone glacier; I love the decision!

Is what i went with. Has straps on the bottom of the pack and other places. For me, I couldn't ask for a better pack. Does everything I want. Love the frame to keep it from being floppy.

The fanny pack style I received would have worked great, but for some reason, none of the manufacturers that I have looked at so far don't include straps that would go from the shoulder area down to the fanny pack so outer layers of clothes could be packed in. The search continues.

I'm trying to figure out if I can get some compatible compression straps that would work with the pack I ordered:

Kelty Redwing pack. Has exterior straps for securing clothing. I can pack cloths in there and on the sides. I'm good for nasty late season temps.
