Bad Boy Buggies

I'm concidering starting a business. My main customer base would be outdoor type people. Some of the things I'd sell would be ATV attachments (food plot equipment) wheels, tires and others. Also would do golf cart customizing. Like adding lift kits or converting carts into hunting carts. But my main product would be Bad Boy Buggies. How many have heard of you these and what did you think of them? I think they're a pretty unique vehical. Check out the website Bad Boy Buggies and give me your opinions.

I guess you could say I'm using you all for some research.

MH,
I believe the Bad Boy Buggies are the best electric carts on the market. When I shoot sporting clays here in Michigan many of the BIG MONEY shooters drive these from station to station and they have gun racks and ammo boxes mounted on them. Not sure how many people use them for hunting, I personally don't but some folks may.

How do they compare in price to an ATV or UTV? Will any fit in a truck or do all require a trailer?
Just my personal preference and situation problem but electric would be a hard sell to me. If I had ready electricity everywhere I may want to store it, that would make a difference. Good Luck with the business.

They list for 8500.00. Compared to a 4x4 Mule, Rhino, or Ranger, they are fairly priced and not out of line. I think they fit in a full size truck. The two thing's I've heard that people like best about them is they are stealthy quiet and the 4x4 works awesome. I can see there would be places an electric ATV would be a disadvantage, like a week long trip back in the mountains. But I don't think it's as much of an issue around here.

Have any idea how long it will run on a charge? especially in the cold? It looks like a great idea to me. I'd be interested If i had $8500 to part with.

I checked out the website. All the testimonials are from warm weather spots. Nowhere is length of charge mentioned. I'm sure it depends on temp and load but someone must have loaded one to the max and drove it around a track to see how long it went. Also, life of batteries themselves and replacement cost? Looks like a good machine otherwise.

Hey Perry,

Don and Kandi Kisky have one and they love it. A few of the team members have them and they seem to really like them.

Bill Winke just got one last week. We compared it to my six wheel Polaris Ranger. The bottom line is they both have good and bad points. The bad boy buggy is super quiet, you can sneak thru the woods and only hear the leaves beneath the tires. It climbs well and has good traction. Very maneuverable in tight spots, despite the fact that it is a very long vehicle (over 9 feet long). You would need a trailer to haul this dude around. One negative would be that it weighs well over 1000 pounds, I'm sure that this is because of the 8 massive batteries on board. Typical of a golf cart, it is slow on steep grades. I loved all the racks and winches. Securing guns and bows to the buggy would be much easier compared to a 4 wheeler. Cold weather didn't seem to bother it. Bill charged it every night. Overall, I really liked it. The only thing that could be improved upon is the overall speed. It only runs about 16 mph. On my farm thats not a problem because I don't have far to go. The Ranger runs 45 mph and most 4 wheelers will do better than that. If I had a bad boy buggy, I wouldn't get rid of my four wheeler. They just have different applications. As for hunting the BBB is the way to go. You can get to and from hunting spots virtually undetected and carry a ton of gear. We shoot a bunch of does on our respective farms and the BBB would be just the ticket for getting them out without much disturbance, especially during the rut. As far as work and scouting the four wheeler is just faster and more versatile. You can take them in some tight spots and pull them free if you get stuck. Unfortunately for the wallet, I would want to have both a 4 wheeler and a BBB.

Good feedback. Keep the comments coming. I am compiling questions for the rep.

I know they are slower than most ATV's. What little experience I have with ATV's, SUV's, etc, is I hardly ever drove them very fast. So for me, top end speed isn't really an issue. If I had to choose between a faster machine or a quiet machine, I would probably choose the quiet one.

I wouldn't take the BBB for a real long haul with only a 20 mile range. If any of you want info on the John Deere HPX 4x4 Gator....I'm the guy to contact.
Don't mean to be plugging my dealership, but I may be able to help someone make up their mind on a large purchase.

Personally I would like to have a BBB just for the silence. I would like it even more if other (nearby) hunters would buy them! I hate listening to ATVs from my treestand.
