I suppose if I am going to harvest a buck on that farm...I just as well drive around it several times a day as they are using the road as a travel path rather than the trail past my stand

Are you gonna duct tape an arrow to the hood?

Sorry Shredder, in poor taste, but try to keep your chin up. If it was easy it would be called shooting instead of hunting.

I know fellas, initially I was frustrated...but now it seems comical to me. Not that I think it is funny the deer getting hit by a vehicle....just the coincidence it would happen twice on the same farm in one season on the top 2 deer I was chasing. Seasons come and go and I am sure I will have more years like this one. I was just at the wrong place at the wrong times to make a connection on this farm. I should have spent more time on this farm rather than head up north a bit to a place I had not scouted or shed hunted.

There is a bumper crop of younger bucks running loose around this farm so hopefully when I draw in again, I can make a connection.

Shredder, I feel for ya because Im feeling the same way. Two does down but no buck. Seen some nice ones and messed up on one. Ive hunted about 25 days of november and each time I came home with my tail between my legs. I made the mistake of whining to my smart aleck wife. Know what she said? "Well maybe you should make a video on what not to do!"

Real funny right. Just keep plugging away, I know persistance will pay off.

Shredder
Sorry to hear about the same thing happening again. When the top 2 bucks you have your sights set on are both hit by trucks...that is some bad luck. Keep your chin up, never know what's going to happen in the near future. Everything seems to even out in the end, maybe something great is just around the corner.

Just think of it this way, at least you know they are dead, and you are not hunting a dead buck that will never walk by
