This is my first year bow hunting, so i didn't have a clue what to expect or what to do. By the 2nd of November i knew i was doing something wrong, sure i had seen deer, alot of deer, 15 does one night. I talked with my neighbor and he said that he had seen some deer in his yard, a nice 6ptr, which sounded good to me, at this point i was going after any deer i could get. That evening i decided to go out, because i didn't have any thing else to do. I drug a sent rag.then sat by the base of a tree. I saw the 6 ptr but couldn't get a shot, about a half hr later i saw a buck chasing a doe a cross the field, they turned and headed towards the trees i was in. they came with in 15yds but spooked and ran before i could shoot. About another half passed(6:30pm) when i heard some deer, i hit my bleat call and they came over it was a doe with a nice 10ptr in tow. The doe came and sniffed my sent rag and took of, the buck was turning to follow when i drilled him at 25yds. when he turned to run i could see my arrow sticking out of his gut i thought, i let him lay over night. the next morning we found him 60yds from where i shot him. turned out that i shot him right behind the shoulder, through the lungs and my arrow got stuck in his other shoulder.

Nice buck! You showed great reserve and patients by letting him lay overnight. Very mature of you, especially for your first harvest. Congrats again!

VERY good first deer. Just continue to go with your instincts. First timers always seem to knock down some of the biggest bucks.
