I'm just curious what everyone thinks is the best call and/or striker combination for making purrs and fighting purrs. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
I get the best sound with a wood striker. The most important part to making a good purr is to have the slate roughed up and gripping your striker about an inch further up. That will allow a little more "bounce" at the tip as you drag it over the slate. I usually will rough the striker tip too.
