What is your guys favorite hunting show? I am liking spook nation or whitetail properties just because the last two episodes of both have been in my area of sw iowa. Watching all these hunting shows is getting me pumped for Oct. 1st!

Not a fan of the whitetail shows anymore. I tend to only watch the shows that have elk hunts or mulie hunts

I don't get the channels anymore. But, I know what you guys who don't like them anymore mean. I did like whitetail freaks and whitetail properties though, they seemed a little less mainstream media and more down to earth.

I don't watch them anymore. They drive me nuts. I don't mind watching predator hunting I guess.

i do like spook nation even though spook is a spook, and i like whitetail properties too. lone wolfs whitetail addictions has the biggest buck kills but i dont see it on anymore.

I like Jimmy Houston, Hank Parker, and his son because baiting deer is awesome.
It is not bait Muddy, it is "wildlife attractant". I was channel flippin last night a caught a show called Wildlife Nation, and the whole show is them killing deer over "wildlife attractant" piles. They acted like it was such a tuff hunt to get these bucks. Of course this is the prouducts they make. Just freshen up the pile with "attractant" on the way to the blind and wait.

I would have to say Mossy Oak's Hunting the Country would be my favorite. Always seems like a buddy is telling you a hunting story, nothing big and flashy. Other than that I will always watch a Drury show if it's on.

I can't stand Whitetail Freaks anymore. A 30 minute show breaks down like this: 25 minutes to some form of advertising, 4.5 minutes of some guy disking up ground for a food plot and 30 seconds of hunting. No thanks...I'll watch a baseball game.

I'm with moosehunter for the most part, difficult to watch some "experts" on a guided hunt at a 2000 acre mangaged property. However, I do enjoy watching most of the midwestwhitetail.com shows. Bill and crew seem pretty down to earth.

I like the Primos guys. Everything they do is good quality and down to earth.

I think there is going to be a shakeup in the industry soon because there is a whole lot of smae-old same-old going on right now. The sponsors are going to be looking at their ROI a little more closely and some of these shows are going to be hurting. There's just too many people doing mostly the same stuff.

That's my $.02

I cannot believe that no one has said Heartland Bowhunter. Best show ever. I watch the DVD over and over and over. I have seen just about every other show out there and it's by far the best. Check it out.

I'm a fan of Eastman's Hunting Journal.
Those guys seem fairly down to earth, really know their stuff and shoot a majority of their shows on public land, which I think it really cool.

On the opposite end of the spectrum- even though I've never seen the show, I would say "Jimmy Big Time" would have to rank at the bottom. I hate to judge a book by its cover, but I was watching a preview of that show just last night & the guy blasts a camera off a tripod at fairly close range while swinging on a pheasant. He then proceeded to act like a smart arse and say "We can fix this, right?". Looks to me like it's a darn good thing no one got killed, even though there was no one manning the camera at the time. I don't think that people pulling stunts like that on TV represent our sport very well.
Ironically, I just got an email from Grand View Outdoors advertising the Season 1 DVD and one of the quotes describing the show was "Jimmy is the Will Ferrell of hunting". Enough said for me.

I thought I would never in a million years say this, because I can't personally stand the guy, but I have enjoyed Stan Potts new show Dominant Bucks. It is actually an informative show, where they go through different hunting tactics (decoys, scrapes, yatta, yatta) and actually discuss tactics to these hunts, such as where to place a decoy, the directions they should face, etc. I have found this to be one of the more informative shows that I have watched in some time. I still don't like Mr. Potts all that much but his eyes don't go crossed much in this show.

The primos truth about hunting and truth about whitetails, and the bone collector show. The Primo guys all seem like regular guys like me and some of my friends. I like Mundt and T-Bone on Bone collectors. i spent some time talking to them at the classic this spring and that really made them seem genuine. I would say the episode where Waddell took his dad elk hunting is probably my favorite show I have watched. You could see the true emotion in both Micheal and Edwin.
