Best or luckiest shot ever made..

It's not related to deer hunting but the best shooting I have ever had was duck hunting. After a long cold day of not shooting to much I saw a ton of coots swimming around in another pool across from us. I got outta the boat and got about 70 yrds away. They all took off, I shot 3 times dropped 3, reloaded and shot 3 more. My friends just looked at me in awe. On another occasion we had high high flying mallards, I dropped the 2 3/4" outta my gun and put in the 3" 4 shot. All I got was a dumb look from my friends and the exact words of "good luck dumb a$$" I must of had a whole ton of it that day I dropped 3 birds, granted I had to lead them about 6 inches. I got my lunch for free that day.

12 years old. Ralphie Stephan punched me in the face and took off running. I bounced a rock off his head at 75 yards. That was the best!

I got one like that....I was 17 and playing golf in the Quad Cities. I just had moved from Illinois to Iowa and was back visiting friends. Playing golf for the second time I was using a 9 iron 140yds out. A group of 3 was on the green, I thought the chance of me even coming close was nil. I gripped and ripped.......uh oh......gonna be close......................nailed the guy on the green.....directly on top of the head.....dropped him to his knees like a WWF Wrestler. Come to find out it was a guy I knew. Talk about feeling like a JA.

Since you got on the golf topic here's another one from me.

155yd par 3, 8 iron....hole in one on my 30th birthday! Unfortunately it cost me a round of beer for everyone on the course.

Several years back I was dove hunting in a corn field outside of KC. It was a bright sunny day and the dove were not cooperating. A large flock of pigeons kept flying over the field and on several occaisions they came pretty close. Each time they would fly by I would cuss them and each time I would consider taking a pop at them. Finally, after about the fifth time they came over me ahead and fired 2 shots and dropped 2 birds.

I did'nt even release my lab to go get them, I was just going to leave them for the coyotes. The flock flew off with the exception of 1 stupid pigeon that kept buzzing me, finally I popped him.

This time, my lab broke on me and went out and retrieved the bird. When he brought it back to me, it was banded. I went ahead and had him retrieve the other 2 birds and low and behold they both were banded also.

I am also an fanatical duck and goose hunter and treasure all of my bands. These 3 pigeon bands now grace my lanyard with my 20+ other waterfowl bands.....

Since we added golf, hole in one on the 7th 128 yard par 3 and I did not have to buy a round of beer, what can I say!I'm a cheap scate.

Yeah I do have to agree Ironwood, Tomo ranks right up there with Rudd. Just something about seeing a guy go to his knees from a little white ball cracks me up!
