I may have asked this before, but I couldn't find the thread.

What is the current thinking on this? I want to get another couple cams up over scrapes here in the very near future.

Thanks guys /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cool.gif

2nd guy I have heard this from.

Josh,
I haven't had the camera long but I think it is pretty outstanding. The video mode is all I use and they are really cool and clear. I have had it in a lot of different weather conditions so far with the exception of extreme cold and it has performed great. I think the warranty is a year and I have never had to use the customer service. Here is a couple of videos from the camera.

Scout Guard vids.

How good of pics does it take?

I was thinking about getting a Cuddeback Capture, but once I saw this camera I am having a hard time deciding..

I haven't had it on picture mode and probably will not use it for pictures after seeing the videos. It tells you so much more about the animal in my opinion. It will also accommodate up to a 8 GB sd card.

+1

I got three CuddeBack Captures this fall and I love them. They take great pics. Trigger speed is amazing, battery life seems to be good. I am a little concerned about the reliability of the attachment strap but so far I haven't had any problems.

I've heard this from several people. I'm thinking about picking one up as well.

Being a sporting good distributor going on my 11th year of selling to local stores I have had my hands on most stuff before the public see's it. The cuddeback capture no flash is still months behind with no sure delivery date in sight. The capture flash is a great flash camera, but it is a flash. Right now the moultrie IR40 is a great value for the $$$$ long battery life and pretty good photo quality for $200 bucks. There are cheaper cameras but the quality is usually the same.

I just googled "Scout Guard 550 IR" and didn't find much. Where are you purchasing them?
They sure look unique.

I found them at bee busy outdoors for 199$ and 209$....Limb said Coach from IW sells them as well.

LIMB,
Ive got three questions on the scoutgaurd cam

1. How is it as far as trigger speed?

2. What kind of battery life are you getting with it on video
mode, how many videos at what length or how long out in the
field?

3. How many videos at what lenth will fit on a card say a 1G?

The reason I ask is Ive got a predator that takes great vids with awesome trigger speed but it fills the card quick with it on 10sec vid which is the shortest that it will do, only a 256 card, and it kills the batteries fast, about one week and 50-60 vids depending on how many day or night and they're cashed

Heard/seen nothing but tremendous things from this camera...great stuff.

Trigger is 1.3 seconds and the recovery is 6-10 seconds. Detection range is around 40 to 50 ft. It takes 8 AA batteries and I can fill up a 1 gb card before the batteries wear down. Battery life is good.

ParaOps can better tell you the capacity. But, I have had 130 15 second clips on my 1GB sd card and it was not full.

Here is a decent review...

Just got of the phone with the owner Of BEE Busy Outdoors and I thought I should warn you guys to make sure you are buying a cam that was made after 7-21-08....many glitches were fixed at that point.

Also, I hate to steal Coach's thunder. Since he is a fellow IWer I would like to buy it from him if possible. Does he have a website Limb? Bee Busy sells them at 199 & 209 with free shipping right now. If Coach can do that I would buy from him.

You out there Coach?
