Big Minnesota Elk...Tis the Season!

Drove north this morning to work some bear baits and ran into this guy being registered on a landowners tag. He had "350" written all over him till he broke that browtine off. He'd still be a hell of a trophy in my book!

Thats becuase there arent elk like that MN. That thing obviously got lost and walked here from the mountains.

They were registering it at the Cenex station in Grygla. My Daughter and I had just walked out of the local eatery when they happened to drive by. Pure lucky timing that we seen it. A minute earlier or later leaving the diner and we wouldnt have ever known the difference.
