I think we have a winner - at an official score of 16" and a new world record in the spore & fungus scoring system's all time records, Shovel Buck has the largest - SHROOM. Free Hat

2nd Place goes out ISHEDHUNT with a 15 3/4 monster. Decal

3rd Place with a mighty fine shroom is Central Iowa with a 13 1/2 inch giant.

Congrats guys & thanks for the photo's. We'll do it again next year!

Thanks Iowawhitetail and Onecam for putting on the contest. I'm looking forward to my prize.

As the new world record holder I will carry the burden with great honor. I'd also like to thank Muddy and Maggs for being there for the brunt of the abuse and razzing I gave. Without those guys it wouldn't of been near as much fun.

We are checking into specifics of the fungus involved. The owner of the pending record refuses to let the panel x-ray the common spore that makes this particular mushroom the world record as recognized by Spore and Fungus scoring system. It is our understanding that a clinometer may have been used in the harvest of this fungus which would disqualify it from being recognized by Spore and Fungus.

We also understand that a contract has been drawn up and signed by both parties involved (world record and pending world record) that states until the world record has been broken the pending can not be entered... further investigations and interviews will be conducted...
