BINO systems/badlands bino case/others?

Any further after season thoughts/reviews on this product HCH? or others? I just got my Swaro's back from warranty repair (free) and they are like new again. I want to do a better job protecting them this time around. I have the crooked horn bino strap but in all honesty it always loosens up and doesnt really hold my binos close to my chest causing much movement /noise when I run or climb etc.... way better than not having the bino buddy system, but I'm thinking there has to be something better. Thoughts?

"Badlands is great for riding around in the truck and you want your binos safe but easily accessible. Hated them for regular hunting as I use mine alot and its a pain to pull out...put away...pull out etc... (I still have them just the case part though and keep it in the truck)"

My main concern is the above. Not sure I will buy it based on this. I use my binoculars for hours a day when hunting and not sure I can handle having it being a PITA to access them?

My last concern would be the bulky-ness of the pack itself. The answer of ones tolerance to this is probably a matter personal preference/comfort.

Thanks for the links :way:

I just purchased and started using the badlands bino case for my Leica's because of this my opinion may change :).

The Badland is not as convenient as the bino buddy system but they give me the protection I was looking for during the shed season (and in the truck ). I'm may not hunt with them as they are a bit bulky and may get in the way of the bow string.

All I gotta say is, when you are in the tree and are trying to take a leak, you can't see nothin down that way with the Badlands case on. Make sure to wear waterproof boots. It could just be me though :)

That pack sticks out a ways. Other than that it doesn't work too shabby. It takes a little getting used to but not too bad.

If you don't hook the top to the bottom, it is easy to let go of it with gloves on and then it makes a big smack that can spook game. Its great for riding around in the truck though :)

I don't need a pack on to have that problem when I get a few layers on. Just gotta get a little forward lean and hope you clear the zipper with the stream!! HA

I think both packs can definitely serve a purpose for a guy who has the need and desire to keep his optics protected. As for me, the monarchs are past the honeymoon stage so I will not be making the purchase.

I can see how this would be nice for those with a newer pair of binos or wanting some place to store them in on the dash of your truck.
