Blast from the past!

Every once in a while when I get super bored and stir crazy I'll go through some of my olds pics. It's funny how quickly some of the thoughts and emotions return when looking at them. It all comes back to you like it was yesterday. Here are some of my favorite pics from over the years. I don't typically share a ton of my photos, but most of these deer were killed by hunters. The ones that weren't are surely dead by now. I know a lot of guys don't typically like to share pics of deer that they are currently hunting, but I'd love to see some of your favorite pics from the past!

In addition, the last photo is the buck I killed this year. I entered his photo in the Haas Style Hunting trail camera photo contest. The contest started out with 32 pictures and is now down to 8. If you like my picture, please go to the link and vote. Thanks to those of you that have already voted and those of you that continue to vote!

Like you, I often find myself looking at old pics and reminiscing. It brings back great memories and fuels the passion for future hunts!

Some of my favorites from my 2012 archery elk hunt here in AZ.

AZHunter - Those are some incredible bulls...as an Iowa flat-lander headed to Wyo this fall for my 1st ever elk hunt, can you give me an idea of what these things score? My elk hunt will not be about the size of the trophy but I am curious as to what an elk like this might score.

Thanks! I can't wait for this fall.

Here is a buck I posted in the 3-4-5 antler progression thread and has always been a favorite of mine.

The mystery of what happened to this deer along with the size makes it a favorite of mine. This farm is about 120 acres and was decimated with EHD in '12. Found 8 or 9 of the resident bucks dead however I never found this deer. I have never seen him since and have never really heard of a buck of this caliber being taken or found.

Maybe someone on here will recognize a deer of this caliber and close the book on this guy.

Last picture I got of this buck before he was killed about two weeks later and approximately three miles from his core area.

These are the top 4 bucks over the past 3 years that I have targeted and I know where killed by neighbors/other hunters. The top 2 are probably the toughest of the bunch since I had 2+ years of photos of them. All were actively hunted and a couple close encounters. I have went 3 years now in terms of not getting a target buck. This year on one of the top target bucks I had 3 encounters with him all inside of 30 yards and never got a shot! So, don't take it for granted when you shoot one guys! Still had lots of fun and hopefully my luck turns.

Those are probably 340"-370" class bulls, give or take. I had an encounter with one of them during my hunt and he was huge even from 100 yards away!

Good luck!

This one was just seen once while I was doing some summer scouting in 2009.

Had this guy within 45 yards twice this year - one was 18 yards and about 3 steps from being shot.
