Do you grunt or bleat when you see a buck or do you do it randomly with no buck in sight? I haven't seen anything for mature bucks so far this season and am wondering of I am not calling enough.
Toss it Random all the time... Only time I think you can over call/rattle/grunt or whatever is when you have a visual on them.

Start throwing the bleat at'em every 10 minutes! along with some weak grunts

I'm note sure about the "correct" answer to that question but I have never had much luck blind calling.
I have called in a few once they were in sight via grunting or rattling.
The problem with calling is that mature bucks are often going to try to locate you and may slip downwind without you even knowing it. That means you can be getting busted and not even know it.
I much prefer funnels in a travel corridor that may be little used by anything but bucks...... /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif
