Blind repair question

Here's the scoop, I have a hub style blind with a broken pole. For you guys that have replaced them before, how do you get the broken part out of the hub when it's hot glued in? The hub appears to be some type of nylon/plastic and I'm afraid heat will mess it up. Do I need to drill it out?

I have had to replace poles on my Ameristep Intimidator blind, but I just bought replacement poles. Took the hub apart, took out the old, and put in the new. I also fixed a severely cracked pole with some copper tubing, wire, and black electrical tape (when that breaks, I will get a new pole). Also wrapped a lot of the other poles with minor cracks with the tape for now. Have had some bad luck with this blind being tossed around by wind, bovine, or two-legged varmints!

i replaced a few on my blind and i just took the hub apart and replaced the pole (it came with the end on it)
