blizzard warning EXTENDED

sounds like the blizzard warning will be extended to the overnight hours. travel still not going to be recommended....especially in rural areas

That sucks, I just packed my truck bed with as much snow as possible for a little extra weight and I am hitting the roads now. Ankeny or bust from Mason City.

Teeroy you need to get something besides the pimp sled to roll around in. I think you need a Hummer H1 for starts.

blizzard warning extended until 6 am saturday. I-35 north of ames is still closed.

liv, you are nuts if you are going to try to make that trip today. give my call a when you get stuck...i'll laugh at ya.

pimpsled hasn't moved for a couple months. presently, its becoming one with a snow drift. i stuck my arm out the door, and snapped a pic of my truck, but its not loading up on hotmail worth a crap.

Ah heck guys it only took me 4.5 hours to get from Mason City to Ankeny. It really wasn't that bad, besides the drifts over the hood of the truck once in awhile. I took Hwy 69 down all the way to 20, then they had 35 open. So for you guys up North, come on down!! Just drive safe
