It's been a while since the last blog discussion, but Turkey season was keeping the site busy. Things have really slowed down around here lately so I'm hoping for some quality discussion. This one is about tips or tactics for hunting with children. I can't wait to hear what you guys do to make this easier.

Go to http://iowawhitetail.com/newsite/index.php/whitetail-blogs/bowmans-blog/113-blog-discussion-3-tips-for-hunting-with-kidsand read the blog, then come back here to add your tips, tactics, and ideas!

Outstanding info! How do you like the youth HSS? Thinking of getting one for my 9 and 12yo. The rope looks like a good project for this summer as well.

One fun family outing for us is to grab some ice cream at Dairy Queen and then head off to country roads with binoculars to view bucks in velvet feeding in the beans before dusk. Even mom likes to go with us occassionally!

The youth HSS works great and I can adjust it between my two older kids fairly easily. My kids are very accustom to the back road trips with the binocs as well. Although, I need to invest in more pairs of binoculars to save some arguing when we spot deer!:D Ice cream might be something to try though.
