Boston ivy

Anybody have any experience with this plant? I'm looking to use it for screening purposes, same ivy as Wrigley field. So should tolerate iowa

Never heard of it. Dumb ? but how does it climb? Or what’s strategy on turning into screen? Like I envision having a fence it grows up.

Might work well to have it climb up tower blinds. Give some cover climbing in and out. Would be a pain if you had trim to keep from growing over windows.

I'd make sure it won't spread all over your farm. Oriental Bittersweet was brought here on decorative wreaths and can ruin a timber in no time.

I planned on using it to cover permanent 20 tall blind structures , and try to cover a 5 ft tall tunnel to a stand location kind of an unconventional idea

Says here that its an invasive - I'd steer clear.

Invasive or aesthetic? Homeowners differ over the ivy creeping up their buildings

Two years ago, a condo association paid over $1,000 to get rid of the vines. Now they're back.

Does Anybody have any experience with other vine plants that might work for cover

Hops? Seem to climb the windmill well, come back every year and could brew beer if I felt like it.

Virginia Creeper is a native vine that is pretty common all over IA. It doesn't hold leaves very long in the fall though.
