Bowhunter mistaken for turkey, dies

i was thinking about trying this bow and arrow thing next season before i get to old, knowing full well that it cost alot $$ for bow arrows targets, etc, but after seeing this pic i think a helmet and possiblity a vest will also be needed, anyone know where an when this guy got shot??

I agree with you guys. Hunting accidents happen, but all too often. I always wear a blaze orange vest aand hat when going to and coming from my stand when bowhunting.

How someone could mistake a human being for a turkey is beyond me. I am sure this guy feels terrible, but his hunting rights should be revoked, at the very least. There is no excuse for not being 100% sure of your target before you release that arrow to flight or pull the trigger. As a hunter safety instructor it makes me mad everytime we have to review hunting accidents, and show films or pictures of hunting accidents. It is pure ignorance!
