Bowtech General vs. Diamond Marquis

I shot these side by side for a long time last night. Jumped back and forth. Took a break. Started with the other one, etc. I hated the draw cycle on the General. You have to give that extra jerk at the very end of your pull. I honestly couldn't feel any difference in hand shock or noise. That Marquis was the smoothest draw I've ever pulled. I never thought it would happen, but my Hoyt may be retired come Jan. 10. Oh, and I watched 2 other guys shoot the General for the first time. Both of them hit that point at the end and had to jerk back so hard that their arrow came off the rest. I suppose you would get used to it but in a cold hunting situation with a little buck fever I could see problems.

Or put a good rest on it that contains the arrow so it doesn't fall off when you draw the bow! And I am not talking whisker biscuit! There are a lot of good ones out there. Like ripcord of the Top Gun Phantom is my preference!

nah, nevermind.......i'm feeling generous today, i guess

I didn't shoot the Guardian. I thought the newer bow would have to be better. I guess smoothness of pull is not always considered important??? The Guardian isn't like the General in that respect?

The Guardian is night/day difference from the General if you asked my opinion. My Guardian does not have that sudden pull over that causes arrows to fall off like that damn General does.

Though, the Marquis is a SWEET bow, you wouldn't go wrong there.
