Brad Pitt and his new anti-gun/anti-hunter movie

Hardcorehunter

UL Shelter/Stove Geek
We watched a movie called "Babble" last night that was bigtime anti-gun/anti-hunting but did it sublimininal. The show starts off with a guy selling a .270 Winchester to another mountain peasant in Moracco. The guy lets his kids go out with the gun and while tending to their goat herd, they shoot at a tourist bus from a long way and actually strike Brad Pitts' wife inside of ther bus. The kids' brother that shot the tourist gets killed in police gunfire and we find out that a hunter from China gave the gun to a guide while hunting over there as a gift to the guide. The hunter is a widower that has a screwed up deaf daughter that is taking her clothes off for an investigating cop and shooting bare crotch shots at total stangers in the daytime. We find out that low and behold, that she doesn't have a mother as the mother shot herself in the head with a handgun. Guns and hunters ruined everybodys' lives in the show. Sorry Brad Pitt, the movie was lame and obviously your mind is warped from hanging out with Angelina

Re: Brad Pitt and his new anti-gun/anti-hunter mov

My wife is the one that started noticing that it was totally against guns and hunting. The children aren't not taught gun safety, guns cause problems in the peoples lives, and low and behold a trophy hunter gives the .270 Winchester away that causes all of the problems. Guns are used for whitetail hunting and I feel it is related to whitetail hunting as it portrays guns and a hunter in a negative content. Watch the movie again, it is plain as day. Plenty of jokes and other subjects on here that are not whitetail related but thanks for keeping me abreast of what type of posts to make here. Whitetail season is over with, should we shut the forum down till Oct 1st?

Re: Brad Pitt and his new anti-gun/anti-hunter mov

If the occasional movie review isn't allowed here, then I suspect that a whole bunch of other topics, including vacation photos, fishing trips, jokes and stories, etc. aren't allowed here also. I've been on this site for quite awhile, and I've noticed some pretty good cycles. We currently are in a cycle of low tolerance for contrasting opinions, in addition to an increase in nitpicking. I don't always care for some of the topics, because some don't interest me, and some I don't agree with. However, please stand back and notice that this is first and foremost a whitetail forum, but it is also an online community. I think that a little variety in topics is okay from time to time. Plus, the topic in this thread is related to hunting - regardless of whether you agree with it or not. Just my .04 cents worth.

Re: Brad Pitt and his new anti-gun/anti-hunter mov

I overheard a conversation a couple of guys were having about that movie. They were of the same opinion about the anti gun theme. There's always a bad guy. Seems like this time it was a gun. That's Hollyweird for ya'.

My, my, we've come a long way since LEGENDS OF THE FALL, Mr Pitt... Hollywood's a joke.

If everyone wants to see a decent movie you should watch "300". You might want to brush up on Spartan, Athenian, and Persian history first...

Me too. Good movie but you knew what was going to happen. Great bunch of actors. Next on the list is the 300. Probaly have to leave the wife at home for that one.
