GREAT!!! Read on KCRG website, Branstad was involved in a car, deer accident. He'll probably have to rethink the reduction of doe tags. It's way to dangerous for the Gov. to be driving around.
Probably couldn't see over the steering wheel.

I sincerely hope that he does not allow this mishap to unfairly color his thinking on deer numbers.
Oh, I think his vision is assisted by FB lobby $$$$$'s.![]()
Was the deer hurt????????????????????![]()
Totally agree, the real motivator in all of the deer reduction talk IMO is the Farm Bureau. Grrrr! (I am not a FB fan.)
Switching gears...Many do not realize that the month of May is often the 2nd highest deer collision month, behind November of course, annually. This is the time of the year known as "dispersal" where the previous years fawns are being kicked out of the house by momma doe right before she drops this years offspring. Many young, suddenly homeless, deer get wiped out in May.
I like how the damage cost has been inflated to $8000.
They showed picks on the news and I would guess $1500 tops.
