has anyone ever used a rage brodhead on an elk and how do they do??? and if not what would u use

all things being equal, i would say a rage would do fine on a nice, broadside, double lung shot....BUT i would probably be shooting something along the lines of a muzzy, incase you have a shot go wild and have to blast through some big bone

I would agree. I would be shooting something with a little more solid blade. G5, Muzzy or something along those lines. A good shot through the boiler and you should have a decent shot, but 6inches foward into the shoulder you might have 4in of penetration.:/
