Broken Tine buck

Just wondering what's everyone's thought of shooting a buck with a broken tine this early in the season. Had a good 10 pt come by this morning with his G-2 broke off about 2 to 3 inches up off of the main beam. Had it not been for the broken tine he would probably score in the low 150's. Kinda regretting letting him go.

Just wondering what some of you would do in the same situation.

Woodlot I think you did the right thing just think what he will be next year without the broken tine!!This is the best time of your hunting year NOW you will see lots more great bucks

in the next two - three weeks even if you don't shoot one as it's not always about the kill

I agree, I think it was smart to let him go. The rut is just kicking in, and you'll most likely see some more bucks of his caliber.

You have to do what is right for you. If you would be happy harvesting a buck like that, then super!

Part of the great challenge of bowhunting is having to make those decisions.

One of the other great guru's of this site said, don't pass on a buck today that will make you happy 3 weeks from now.

Have fun, and don't sweat the success pressures.
