Building Hunter Safety System Lifeline----HELP!!!!

They say as you get older you get wiser (and brittler)and as a result i am making some treestand climbing ropes similar to those offered by hunter safety systems lifeline. They want 40 bucks apiece multiplied by every stand you hang adds up.Considering they remain attached to the tree i have decided to make my own.I have aquired the main line rope-11mm and cannot seem to find any 6-8mm climbing rope which is needed to tie the prusik knot with.Any idea who may have this locally? Upon completion i will post my finished costs. Any leads would be appreciated.

Don't know about locally but you shoul be able to order climbing rope of any size from REI
