Not really a pond but I suppose so. This is in the middle of a shallow water wetland. Originally built to hold it looks like 3 ft of water. Last summer I noticed part of the bottom berm eroded away. I piled loads of fill there to patch it..attempt anyways. Still some leaking...guessing I didn't get it packed down well. Also no clay to speak of in this area. Wasn't designed really to be a pond but more to hold some water for whatever wetland critter cares to take advantage.
After that ramble...I want to keep water in the pond so the area below the pond stays dryer and I can actually do something with it. If I don't have any clay or material to actually hold the water...would it even make sense to have a dozer come it and rebuild the sides with what's there. Or just a referral to a specialist is my next step
