I just started using a trail camera and have been getting a lot of pictures of the backs of deer. Also have been getting a lot of blank pictures. I think my camera may be mounted to high. Was wondering what height you normally mount your cameras at?
Kinda depends on the lay of the land, etc. I'd say a good starting point would be about 3 feet high. Remember, you can always prop sticks under the top or bottom of the camera to change the aiming point as well. Good luck!
I set my cameras about 3' also. Make sure you've got the camera backed off the trail/picture location far enough to get the entire animal in the picture. If you set it up too close, it doesn't matter what height you hang it at
