Cameras with compact flash card media?

Are there any plans out there for a homebrew cam using a camera with CF media? I see that some use the Olympus (380?), is that camera CF compatible?

I'm just wondering because I already own several high-capacity CF cards and that's just what I'm used to.

I've got a Canon Powershot A-40, it's a great camera for what I use it for (mostly work...) but I may upgrade soon as it's 'only' 2.0 MP. I thought a trail cam may be a good use for it...

I just took a look at that camera. Since it has a zoom lens, id say that it will not work for a trailcam.
