Can deer have Mange?

Was out hunting tonite and had a deer in the field that appeared to have Mange. Was wondering if it is common as I have never seen it before. I did get pics of it with my phone through the bino but don't know how to post. I will call the co in the am but was wondering if anyone had seen before.

Im 95 % positive that deer cant get mange. Ive witnessed a few rough looking deer but nothing like mange that i see on coyotes.
Tick infestation during the late fall or just a rough year can lead to a scurvy looking dee4

Yes Steve, its called Demodetic mange, caused by mites. Supposedly rare but I've seen it or some other skin disease several times here and in other states as well.
