Here in Illinois you cant shine a spotlight from a motor vehicle at wildlife at any time, it doesnt matter if your on a roadway or on private property, or if theres a gun in the vehicle or not, I guess to much poaching over the years has caused some pretty strict laws.

I always clean out my vehicle and drive around naked if I'm going to do some summer spot lighting. Well, not naked naked, I do wear a hat and sunglasses.

There. That aughtta take this post right out of an arguement and into parts unknown.

I always thought a 2.5 was considered an "inny" not an "outty".

SOunds funny at the time doesnt it!! Go in an make a funny trail cam pic for your bud.. THen one day you moon his trail cam....and I mean full moon here, full bend over, pants down deep, even giving sac view and all....You laugh your ass off waiting for him to check his trail cam but he never says a word...then a few days later you get a mass email from him, to everyone you know, and the subject is "who the heck is this anyone know?" with the picture attached and then a bunch of LMAO replies because whats worse is everyone knows who it is because of a very identifiable jacket being worn by the culprit... /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/blush.gif
Not that it ever happend to me or anyone i know...

I usually do it when I leave my timber, when I've already got my deer, its just cool to go see what else was out there. What's funny is the reason I was up there was to keep people from shooting deer off the road, a real problem north of the city of Hepburn, and if anyone who partakes in that activity is reads this......good luck with your radiator.
