Arrow Chucker
Shot this one a little while back on a farm pond. About 23 lbs. Pretty good fighter.

Good carp = dead carp. Sometimes landowners don't like their grass carp shot though, they're good at keeping the aquatic vegetation trimmed down for fishing. I know one pond that needs a few more grass carp in it!

Though, beggars can't be choosers so I'll fish around the veg!

I think I know the which body of water you are talkin' bout, Muddy. If we are talking about the same one, it needs MORE grass carp.

Grass carp eat the most vegetation when they are young and growing. The amount they eat really slows down when they get to be the size of this one. Nice size amur ya got there! Some claim they are good eating.

I think they have a tendency to muddy

up the water though and I'll take a little vegetation for fish cover.

I shot him on my wife's Grandpa's place. There are more in there, some bigger than this one. I just couldn't resist.

And they are pretty good eatin'. I had some smoked grassie a few weeks ago and it wasn't half bad.
