Carry Lite Deer Decoys.....

The Hunt Never Ends....
Hey,

I was just wondering if any of you have ever used a carry lite deer decoy. If so, do you have success with it. Would you recommend it to other bowhunters?

Thanks,

Chris (Sureshot1)

I have one an have used it since 1997 and have had awesome encounters with it on numerous occations. Bowhunting is the only time I lug it afield. The carry-lite is the best one out there...I have the redi-doe as well and it is a pile of junk. My carry-lite has taken several jolts from bucks in aggression and last fall, I had 4 bucks in one night within 15 yards of me in a ground blind and they were oblivious to me or the fact they were antagonizing a deke (Used Ghost spray on it)

Get one and you will like it. I can help you out with my trial and error setups so you can avoid those and have as good of luck as you can with it.

Got one, use it often, like it & would recommend one

Carry Light is a excellent decoy. The legs are kind of a pain in the rear to put on.Pretty noisy setting up. I keep mine a assembled and stash it in the brush between hunts. During the scrape phase of the rut they are deadly!

I had very good luck with the Delta decoy last fall. It is a very nice decoy, that seemed to work well. Made of 3D foam, so nothing inside rattles or makes noise. And when you have one of those long days that you never see anything, go ahead and run a arrow into it. I dont think there are any scent problems with it either. Just treat it like your other hunting items, keep it in a bag, spray it down with ghost, and use some cover scents around it.

Just my 2 cents!

I had a huge buck blow Carry Lite to pieces one night. We reassembled the decory and put it in the same spot and 10 minutes later he returned. I shot him at around 15 yards as he was approaching to do it again!!! Definately had him fooled.

I have heard the decoys were not much use. This is a startling revelation. Do you use a doe decoy? Where do you place it? Thanks for these tips!
