Cheap alternative to HBS, Warmbag, Iwom

Maybe you could add 6,000 feet of Parachute cord to it somehow? Or attach two of them together and take your wife.

So here is the review:

I had a difficult time with their web interface, it wouldn't let me set up an account (by design?). So I called and the guy was very helpful. I opted for a membership due to his "helpfulness" as he explained how the cheaper price and the $20 in coupons basically offset the membership: sucker born every minute.:(

He didn't go on to say that the two $10 coupons could not be used together and could only be used on purchases over $100. I doubt I'll ever use them, which is probably what they are banking on......

They spam the h#// out of your email account with all kinds of special deals; Veteran's day, Black Friday, free shipping today, etc. I can't wait to see the Thanksgiving specials.:( They sent a catalog last week that was centered around ammo, some looked to be a pretty decent deal.

So shipping was quick, got it, unrolled it and held it up to make sure it was long enough, rolled it back up and stuffed it in the carrying bag (which is attached to it).

This morning was the first time I took it with me, hasn't been cold enough for me to use it. I was hesitant to climb into it this morning, spent the first hour in the tree without putting it on. Finally I started to get chilled and figured if I was going to last much longer in the stand, it was time to break down and put it on.

I unrolled it, unzipped it, stepped into it, put my arms through the sleeves and zipped it up. I noticed that the "sleeping bags with arms" model I opted for had very long sleeves. Might be an issue shooting the bow, didn't try so don't know, but kind of doubt it. There is adequate room to spread one's feet out over the treestand, didn't feel like I had my ankles bound together. There are "buckles" that one can tighten it around your legs if you want to; I didn't care to do that.

Within 5 minutes after putting it on, I had a wave of warmth come over me, kind of like crawling under a heavy down comforter. I sat for 5 hours in 10° weather with a light breeze and never got cold. I climbed down because I was hungry and bored. I did not put the hood up, which would have made it warmer.

The bad: it has a polyester shell that is loud! When I first pulled it on, it was dead still out and I don't think I could have stood up and got the bow drawn without being busted by the noise. With a breeze, maybe. Shotgun or late muzzleloader season, no problem! Right after I pulled it on, I saw two bucks cruising through at 75 yards. I grunted at them as I stood up. One came in to 50 yards and stood behind some brush. He wasn't what I was interested in, so I stopped calling to him. He must not have heard me stand up or didn't care because of the grunts.

I'm going to try wearing my camo hoodie over top of it. Most of the noise is arm movement/upper torso as the fabric rubs against itself.

How puffy are the arms? I wonder if I got that under my GWW top if I could cinch the arm straps down on the left arm to keep it outta the way of the bow string? Issue then would be if the right arm would bunch/bulk up drawing back. I am actually intrigued, might have to visually inspect yours sometime. My current issues are feet getting cold. Hands fixed with ample Hot Hands but feet have always been the issue.

The armless bag might be the way to go, but as stated that thing has a small foot area.

I do that with my cheap pvc (or whatever it is) rain gear. Quiets it down quite a bit, but still has some noise when I move. Not sure what it sounds like from 20 yards away tho. Didn't seem to bother a nice 12 point last year too much when I drew back on him at 25 yards. I think he had his mind on the doe he was following tho.

Artic shield boot covers will keep your feet warm gauranteed. Put them on asap in stand. Can also put some hot hands on top of boots if you are a real sissy. ;) ;)
