Chinkapin Oaks?

Since these trees are more like a shrub,,even when fully mature,,don't the deer mow-em-down?

There are chinkapin oaks and dwarf chinkapin. The dwarfs can get to 15 feet tall or so which is bigger than most deer could tear up at that time. I am sure when they are smaller that is a big problem though.
