Cold Gear

I have the 2.0 for sure and maybe the 3.0 too. can't remember for sure. I bought it off the UA web site because nobody around here had it in stock. I was expecting a thicker version of the original stuff, it is much thinner but kinda quilted. It is also loose fit. I wore the cold gear and the 2.0 together and stayed pretty warm, but it was also the first year for my Grey Wolf with wind stopper so I can't say for sure which it was. Somebody said they grew up next to the wood stove, so did I. I think I will always be cold no matter what I wear so 2.0 or 3.0 may be way to much for most folks, but not enough for me.

I've been wanting some of this stuff and have been putting it off because of not wanting to pay 150 bucks for a set of it - I just checked ebay and you can get a set there for around 100 bucks if purchased separately. I've never bought clothes off ebay but it might be worth a shot. I am so sick of paying retail price on anything for hunting because of how damn high the mark up is. We're expecting temps in the low 30s next week here in MN....this stuff might come in handy for duck opener.

a good pair of polypropolene (sp?) long underwear will do the same thing for about half the price of UA.

I have used high quality poly pro for years hunting, winter camping and snowboarding. I will never go backy. UA is leaps and bounds above the poly pro, just my 2 cents.

I don't know. It keeps me warm but I can't stand it up around my neck. Anyone that wants a pair of brown UA top and bottom shoot me a PM. I will give you a hell of a deal on it. Used one season. XL top and Large bottoms. $70 shipped. /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cool.gif

(not to steal your joke again, Limb...... /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/blush.gif but....)

Fixed it for ya!

I like mine, but the key part of my UA clothing is the headmask, and the gloveliners. It seems my face and hands are the only parts that ever get cold, even on not so cold days. After I bought those two UA items, I've had no problems whatsoever. I also have the cold gear leggings and top, plus a pullover, plus the pullover which is really nice for those chilly November mornings.

I love mine, bought a pair two years ago, had to track a deer for 5 hours in the rain and all I had on were my bibs and the UA Cold Gear top, it was about 35 degrees and I was fine with just that on, especially with the sweat. I work at Sports Authority so I get a discount on my stuff so I'm having a bunch of stuff transfered in, hoodies, armourfleece stretch top, loose gear long sleeves, etc. Can't wait to wear the stuff during bow season!

I agree bushman, I have some heavy poly and it's just not the same as UA.
