Cut and paste or own free words....should not matter...does it?

You would think that the key is "opposed" after all, how many ways can you say NO!!

Thanks for posting the info. Willie

So does that mean that the DNR doesn't pay any attention to the cut and paste responses? I used the old "cap" method because it said what I thought.
That was a strange comment for sure.

I for one was one that cut and paste my response. When I tried to add more it wouldn't accept it.

You can bet Willie I'll be at the meetings, I just hope you guys listen!

I guess I'm one of 91.

At this time I have 6 different email accounts. Had I cut and pasted, I could have "voted" six times. I only used one to send my opinions to the DNR site. I can understand how they would think that somebody could voice their opinions 6 times and not give full weight to identical e-mails.

Is there anyway that the same account could "vote" more than once? If so, cut and paste would be highly suspicious.

I wonder if they got 106 cut and paste responses that agreed with their position if it would be a big deal.

Thanks for the info Willie.

I wrote my own but I sure would think a no vote should be a no vote no matter how it's sent if it's not from the same email address.

Just how many votes do they want anyway if most every one is against the changes?

The cut and paste issue should not matter . What blows me away is the fact that there were only 197 responses total , That is sad. I bet most of them came from IW members. Thata alone projects an image that most poeple dont care about whats about to happen to the seasons. I hope we make a better showing at the meetings. Where is the closest meeting to Des Moines and when??? If I can make it I will!

Just had a conversation with a gentleman who stated 197 responses would normally be enough to get this shut down. With the 2 people pushing these issues we will need to be at meetings in full force and be ready to stand up and speak out against proposed changes. Time has been moved up to 6:30 instead of 7:00, they thought more time might be needed.

Thanks for the time update. How many days prior to the meeting can they change either the date or the time? Any chance they can change the date or time the day of the meeting?

It is very sad indeed, although I'm proud of all the IW members that voiced their thoughts, deer hunters as a whole, simply pay no attention...until they buy their tags, or read about it in the newspaper.
This is a huge problem overall and why I disgaree with the thought the "hunters can be educated to practice good deer management". 99% of the hunters I know (other then here on IW) could care less about deer management, herd control, new rules, etc....they just hit the woods on the first weekend of Dec....and by Monday morning all thoughts of deer hunting are behind them until the next Dec.
You can see why the input of those that are concerned about the future of deer hunting in Iowa...is so extremely important.
