I had an unreal night tonight the first night out. I won't even say how many deer I saw for fear of being called a liar. The wind was wrong for my stand and my ground blind so I just climbed into a rock pile about 80 yards out into the field. I saw a definate shooter through the binos at about 300 yards and this guy came by me well before the sun set. When I first saw him I just grabbed my camera and thought I'd take a pic, after about 4 poor photos I realized that he was far better than I thought. He was moving too fast and before I could even think about the gun he was over 100 yards out. I watched him through the binos and recognized him from a set of sheds I found 2 yrs ago. He was basic 5x5 then, now he is a 5x6 with 2 abnormals off his left g2. His spread is also very good at somewhere in the 21-22 range. Anyways, maybe I should have been lighting a fire in the smokepole instead of gawking. A guy hates to be done early but time will be limited this year. I know the pics are crappy but this was a Good Buck.
