Not long ago purchase a scout guard 550 IR camera from Coach here on the site. I can't tell you how satisfied I am with it so far. Kinda mickey mouse to set up but once you get used to it becomes pretty simple. Here are a couple IR vids from it. I am buying more of these in the future.

Sparring

Look at the body on this fella.

Deer on roids. Did you notice the buck standing behind it towards the end of the clip? Looks like he has a decent rack.

Yea, it is the same joker in the first video. He is a nice up and comer. Gonna be a good one in a couple of years. Here he is posing for the camera, he thinks he is pretty handsome... /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

He hasn't changed much from last year. Looks like he grew a split on the other side....

Limb does this camera make any noise before it records or takes pictures? That's the one thing I don't like about the Moultries.

You can set the videos from 5 to 15 seconds and it will take up to an 8 GB sd card. I had 130 15 second videos on a 2 gb card and it wasn't quite full yet. It makes no noise at all pictures or videos. I am very impressed with this camera so far for the money.

Glad to hear somebody finally tried one. They've been getting rave reviews from Chasingame.com but I haven't had the $$ to get one yet. Any problems at ALL with them Limb? Washed out pics? False trigger? How did you end up mounting it to the tree?

I haven't had any problems at all so far. I have only had it out for a couple of weeks though. Battery usage is awesome the videos are really cool. I haven't had it on picture mode because the videos are so dang cool and show a lot more about the animal than pictures. I have had very few false triggers. I mount it to the tree via a master lock python cable and it works great.

My only complaint is that setting it up is rather micky mouse with the remote control you get and it reminds me a little of the days of running a computer with DOS. But once you get it set up right. you flip in on strap it to the tree and walk away.

I am going to buy at least 2 more if not 3.

Keep us posted on this cam will you? From what I hear, you're going to love the trigger speed on pics. Supposedly 1+ seconds. Alot of trail cam afficianados are saying that this cam is the Holy Grail we've been waiting for in a production cam. Fast speed, good sensing, everything you need and nothing you don't, all for $200. I may own one or two by next spring so I'm real interested to hear any updates you're willing to share. Thanks!
