coyotes?

Tonight I saw very few deer when I usually see plenty. A doe was blowing like crazy and the few deer I did see were very skittish and they all ran back into the woods. A half hour later I heard a pack of yotes howling not 100 yards back in the woods.

I'm pretty sure that is why I didn't see much activity tonight. In your experience how long before the deer come back after being cleared out by coyotes?

Till the coyotes leave.I have seen a coyote walk by a deer within 25yds and the deer just watched it go by.I don't know about a whole pack of yotes.I am sure it happens all the time in your woods though.Its not like the coyotes just appeared today.

there bad here too. just depends where your at . lost 1 doe this year . yote hunting after deer season.

I'm going after yotes for the first time after we get some snow fall.

.223 is sighted in, just need to pick up some calling equipment and keep on reading!

This past week I actually witnessed a single coyote chase a mature doe and her fawn across a pasture. and within the 260 acre farm I have permission to hunt, I can hear about 4 or 5 different "packs" chiming off like they do at day break and dusk.
