Doc says “I’ll write a note for crossbow permit”.
“Nah” I said. Which - I have zero issue with folks getting them who are injured. Or seniors. Think ill be just fine for a bow. Second time I am right against Oct 1 recovery. Last time I shattered my arm when I fell from stand in July about 15 years ago.

If didn’t catch it on fish thread …. This one, stupid fishing!! Stupid ME!!!! Stabbed a catfish & 3rd time my hand was slimy & went into blade. Cut both tendons. Last pics are today- pinky still stiff & swollen and tendons stuck a good but yet. Doing PT on hand and dang it’s stiff. Piece of cake though- think we rocking for Oct 1…

Yikes! Injuries before bow season are the worst. Glad you're recovering!

Had a 4' level fall of a ladder yesterday and fell right on my trigger finger.
It's stiff now and can't bend it.
Could not shoot my bow now.

Dang man! That's one messed up pinky. I remember as a kid, I'd only think about how much something hurt or was going to hurt. Now I only think about how stupid I was and just how long it's going to take me to recover, if ever. I'm rehabilitating a couple now as we speak and am confident at this point that they're permanent damage. Chicks dig scars and a limp is considered swagger now.

Dont take the PT lightly. I broke my ring finger about 4 years ago playing basketball. Had pins put in and a cast for about 2 months. Once the pins were taken out I had about two months of PT twice a week. All sorts of weird stretches, exercises, and hot wax dippings. The PT and exercises were for sure more painful/daunting than the injury, but were 100% necessary to get the mobility back. If you don't take that PT serious you will end up with muscle athrophy and have Booger Mcfarland fingers like this:
