CRP, Ag, Big Timber? What are you hunting?

Say you had to pick one type of land to hunt what would you pick and why? Big timber, Big Ag, CRP, draws, ect...
I grew up hunting a big ag county with little timber in my area and have found a few things that have been consistent even when I travel to other counties. I wouldn’t even know how to start if I walked into a big timber area but I could probably hunt with the best of them when you hunt the small creek draw areas.

I hunt everything but big timber. I dont have any anywhere. As far as holding deer, nothing beats a hedge/cedar/brush thicket IMO.

On the main farm I hunt I've noticed way more big deer come through since he put a chunk of ag into crp. Big timber is really hard to hunt for me, never seem to pick the right tree.

I’m more at home personally in big woods. I’ve learned how to hunt the big woods and enjoy the challenge how deer use the topography. When I’m on a edge which is very little my confidence goes way down but I’m getting better at it the more I hunt a edge.

I hunt primarily hilly big timber or a mix of timber and ag. There's usually a river source bordering or cutting through the pieces as well, which means a lot of river bottom ground too. The wind sucks in hill country and river bottoms, probably the most frustrating of all the terrains/habitats I've hunted. I never stop learning though and usually the wind I think i need isn't the wind I actually need to hunt a spot. It's always a treat when I can hunt flat terrain where the wind behaves like the weather app says it should.
