Yes, if one has safe as an option, one is good to go. NE don't have safe because apparently our fsa gov employees can't write up a plan for it to get accepted by feds in time. That's how the FSA explained it to me. They tell me that hopefully next year NE will have a plan written up that is acceptable to feds for safe. If so, The balance of my farms will be enrolled in it.
In two of the counties I have farm in, with crp, the fsa person that draws up the maps has shorted me acres each time. Always double check their map work. The software they use to do this seems way less advanced than google earth. The maps they use are always older than what I can use on GE.
