Cuddelink Gen 3 software

With the Gen 3 software update they say that you can get full size pics delivered with the gold or silver cell plan. This tells me that the cameras are capable of delivering full size pics to the home unit, but I don't see how to turn that feature on and I can't find it in the Gen 3 manual. I don't have a cell plan but it seems I should be able to get full size pics delivered to my home unit card, does anyone know how to do it?

All I’ve heard so far “make sure u update your software after this hunting season”. I am not sure if that’s right or not?!??? I’ll check into above and see what I find as well.

I have updated the cameras but I don't see how to do it, although there is apparently a way to access a more complete menu that what comes standard after the update and I'm guessing that is where it is? I can see why they would require you to have the gold or silver plan to send that much data via cellular but it shouldn't matter to them if I don't have a cell plan so hopefully they make this option available. I have sent an email to cuddeback support to see if I can get an answer and I'll report back with what they say.

I had the same question when I went to update to Gen 3 and asked it on the Habitat Talk forum. This is the answer I got from John with cuddeback.

"that feature is only available thru the app, and you would need an active cell home to make the change, you designate a specific camera to send all images in Higher res, otherwise they will send thumbnails, an option for you would be to buy a monthly plan for one month - make the settings or changes you want and then turn the plan off. There will be several settings and options that will only be available via the app and a cell connection. On top of that, currently the only series that will take the hi res the command, is the L series, the G and j will later but it's not live yet."

It was disappointing to learn. Seems like it would be an easy option to put on the camera itself. Hopefully they change it in the future.

Got to the camera you want to adjust in the Cuddeback App - Click Settings and then Commands
