Dang coyotes

I shot a doe last night. It was low light , I didn't have a lighted nock and I didn't see the arrow impact. With below freezing temps, I figured I'd play it safe and retrieve her in the morning. She didn't make it far but unfortunately was found by coyotes in the night. I don't think I've ever seen one this clean in one night.

That's insane! Must have been a large group. Never had a coyote on a kill but did have a red fox eat around the butt within an hour of me going back to retrieve the buck.

They sure make quick work of them. I've had way more on camera than normal so that is gonna play into when and where I'm shooting does for the freezer

Ouch! I have seen coyotes nearly every time I’ve been out this year. Waiting for them to come into range.

There are a lot of coyotes. I've never hunted/trapped them but I'm going to start this year.

Gotta say I was a little nervous walking out last night after a couple of different packs started going off around me at sundown.
