Dates of your kills...

I always see discussion on here and other forums about when to take vacation, whether or not it is worth going out in October, or whether the first or second week of November is better.

I thought it would be cool to see what dates everyone has killed their good bucks. So what dates have you killed your bucks that were say... 3.5 or older?

My dates are November 28, November 26, and September 20 (youth season several years ago).

10/26, 11/4, 11/1 last 3 yrs all three gross over 170 before that, 7 out of 8 first week of November

Thanks fellas. Keep them coming guys, I'd kinda like to put all these into an excel document and see the distribution of everything.

10/29- 11/4- 11/11- 11-14- 11-20- 11/23- 11-28. Archery bucks all py or Boone.
6-8 yrs of trail cams in our area show most daylight activity of mature bucks occurs between nov 6-14th with the 9th-11th being the biggest swing in sightings and daylight pics

10/20- 11/4- 11/6- 11/7- 11/10, missed a giant on 10/29 a few yrs ago. seems like the best time for my area is the last 4/5 days of oct and 1st week of nov. Good luck be safe!

Hard to remember but I will try in order 11/9 11/21 11/3 11/2 10/31 11/15 11/4 11/4 11/3 11/11 11/19 11/13 all qualify for P&Y only one of mine where killed on the weekend

11/3, 11/3, 11/2, 11/4, 11/7, 10/26, 11/14, 11/1

All those were over 140" and in the last 10 yrs. Biggest two grossed 169" and 171" on 11/3 and 11/1

10/25, 10/31, 11/15, 11/5, 10/15, 11/1

IMO i think there is no excuse for not getting out in Oct. Weather you intend to let an arrow go or not, you cant kill em at home.

first week- bucks might still be on pattern and possibly in small bach groups.

second-thrid week= a few more people in the woods that might move a deer out of his home turf. my 10/15 buck is good example.

the whole month there are farmers in the fields harvesting. once again, you never know waht might get moved out of the corn field or bumped off of a fence line

I have sat Oct 1, 2 or 3 for my first sits of the year, every year since ive started bow hunting (besides this season)...and theres 3 years that i have seen more deer and deer movement than any other day of the season while in stand on those dates... theres also years i havent seen squat until the end of Oct

my thing is, if you have the time, go sit... you never know. anything can happen on any given day. i would have never thought id let an arrow fly on Oct 15 on a buck like i shot 2 years ago (avitar pic)... and i wouldnt have if i was sittin on the couch on that particular day. but i would agree with anyone that says the first two weeks of november would be the best time to take vaca
