The family farm produced a great memory again yesterday. The memories have come from many different sources - family & friend shed hunts, the numerous work days, overnight tent camping trips with my wife and children, etc.
My daughter Haley and I spent 5 hrs together on Sat, starting the first day of gun 1 on a timber hogback ridge at dawn. I was the guide, she was the hunter. We ended the day about 1:30, since she had an obligation later in the day. We saw no deer & 2 yotes during those 5 hrs.
Sundays hunt would be her first solo deer hunt as I went back home Sat afternoon. I had texted her images of 2 possible targets and 3 bucks that she needed to let walk. In the last 20 minutes, the 8pt target came back to the brassicas for the 3nd consecutive day and the shot was solid. The cam pic is moments before the CVA barked.
Nice job kiddo.
